3.6 L DOHC flat six engine, twin turbo,480 HP, six-speed manual gearbox, independent four-wheel digitally-tuned suspension, four-wheel carbon ceramic power disc brakes; wheelbase: 95.5”

It's been a long-standing tradition that true sports cars are equipped with manual transmissions, putting the driver in full control and enabling him to extract the utmost from his machine. Since 1964, the 911 has been one of the most desirable and guttural driving machines in the world, but with the 2007 Porsche 911 Twin Turbo, Porsche turned its 6th generation of the 911 into a thoroughly modern luxury performance car. Computers can simulate logic, and machines can manipulate things more accurately and quickly than humans, but a manual gearbox car with 480 HP remains the most fun allowed on four wheels.

Porsche’s 911 evolution started with the introduction of the 997.1 series in 2005, and it took another evolutionary leap forward with the 911 Twin Turbo coupe in 2007. Twin turbochargers incorporating variable turbine geometry were a revolutionary Porsche first. Not one, but two intercoolers and a redesigned electronically controlled all-wheel-drive system called PTM - Porsche Traction Management - puts rubber on the road in typical German efficiency. The “form-meets-function” turbocharged design was described by the engineers at Porsche as the new “everyday supercar”.

This example is equipped with the 3.6L DOHC 24-valve flat six-cylinder engine that was factory rated for 480 HP at 6,000 rpm and an improved 502 lb-ft of torque between 1,650-5,000 rpm as the result of the variable turbine geometry. It leaps off the starting line with a low roar and quite easily reaches 60 mph in under 3.4 seconds. The ECU was upgraded with GIAC engine-tuning software for power-curve adjustability and to take full advantage of the increased flow and 25 horsepower gain from the AWE Tuning exhaust. The desirable six-speed manual gearbox channels power through a factory limited-slip differential. Bilstein PSS10 DampTronic adjustable coilover suspension is compatible with the factory Porsche Active Suspension Management electronic PASM control module, and wheel carbon-ceramic disc brakes wait to scrub off augmented turbo velocity. This 911 slices the air with a GT Silver color-matched GT2 front bumper, with rear downforce enhanced by way of the Vorsteiner carbon-fiber rear spoiler flanked by larger lateral rear inlets designed to draw more cooling air over the dual intercoolers. Porsche skillfully blended art with brute horsepower, creating a modern masterpiece of function while retaining the driving experience of the vintage 911s.

Power adjustable and heated Sport bucket seats are centered by the Porsche short shifter in the modern gray leather-upholstered interior that features incredible real Makassa wood trim throughout. The dash, door panels, and tilt steering wheel are all covered in leather as well, and the car has over $28,000 of optional equipment and a plethora of power equipment too extensive to list – suffice it to say virtually every option imaginable. Surround sound is available from the 13-speaker Bose audio system in the event the twin-turbocharged flat-6 soundtrack is insufficient. The 911 Turbo rides on factory turbo-exclusive 19-inch forged tri-spoke two-tone wheels outfitted with Michelin Pilot Sport tires.

This immaculate and always well-cared for Porsche has led a charmed life, with just 6,000 original miles, and a full complement of purchase documents, service records, and documented dealer PPI inspection of the 100% original paint. With fastidious collector treatment from new, this is sure to be one of the most desirable Twin Turbo 911s you’ll see for a very long time.
