5,935 cc DOHC V-12 engine with four valves per cylinder, electronic multi-port sequential fuel injection, 520 HP at 7,000 RPM, six-speed manual gearbox with Auto Shift Manual/Select Shift Manual electro-hydraulic control system, fully independent suspension, ventilated four-wheel hydraulic disc brakes; wheelbase: 109”

Influenced by the Project Vantage Concept debuted at the 1998 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the Ian Callum-designed Aston Martin V12 Vanquish debuted as the successor to the Virage at the 2001 Geneva Motor Show. The Vanquish featured high-strength architecture with aluminum and carbon-composite construction and a bonded chassis for exceptional rigidity and lightness. The 5,935 cc V-12 featured twin overhead camshafts per cylinder bank and four valves per cylinder, twin PTEC engine-management systems, multi-port sequential fuel injection, and “coil on plug” ignition to deliver 450 bhp. Drive-by-wire throttle control and a six-speed electro-hydraulic manual gearbox, four-piston brake calipers, drilled and ventilated brake rotors, ABS, electronic brake distribution, and fully-independent wishbone suspension.

Performance was, and remains, stunning. Lucky V12 Vanquish occupants experienced that performance with complete amenities and beautifully trimmed leather upholstery. Fame was immediate, with the V12 Vanquish starring alongside Pierce Brosnan as Secret Agent 007 in the 2002 James Bond epic Die Another Day. Just 1,492 Series I cars were built through 2004, the year the upgraded 520-horsepower, 200-mph Vanquish S arrived, which was only built for 2005 and 2006. Both were eventually succeeded by the DBS in 2007. When Vanquish production ended on July 19, 2007 with just 2,578 built in all, Aston Martin’s Newport Pagnell factory closed after nearly 50 years of operation. As such, the Vanquish marks the end of an era and remains known as the last "proper" Aston Martin.

Formerly owned by classic car expert Wayne Carini, this late-production 2006 Aston Martin Vanquish S features exceptional Tungsten Silver paint over red diamond-stitched leather upholstery and black carpeting. Only an approximate 7,000 miles have been traveled from new. In addition to the F1-style six-speed gearbox with twin shift paddles, factory options are abundant. Among them are 2+2 seating, red brake calipers, Homelink, Bluetooth, cup holder, chrome exterior door handles, fire extinguisher, front stoneguards, quilted headliner, satellite navigation, heated front seats, and audiophile-quality Linn six-speaker stereo. Additionally, this 2006 model is the most desirable version of the Vanquish S, with its upgraded dash and center console design. This Vanquish S has only had two owners from new, including Mr. Carini, and it benefits from service at an authorized Aston Martin dealer from new. Recently, it received a $12,000 service by Miller Motorcars in Connecticut, ensuring it is superb and ready to enjoy. As offered, this Aston Martin comes with all books, tools, and records from new, marking an outstanding find as a most desirable final-year example of the last Aston Martin models hand-built at Newport Pagnell.
