The Chevrolet Corvette stands alone as a world leader in the sports car market. Introduced as the 1953 Motorama show car at the New York Auto Show, it caused a sensation and GM decided to put it straight into production. There were many ups and downs but, by the early 1960s, the Corvette’s place was solidified. Several generations of Corvettes followed and it is now recognized around the world as a premier sports car that runs with the best. In the present day many are restored to stock specifications, but the Corvette is a car that lends itself to customizing with ease. Such is the case with this Corvette, for in the world of the customized cars, very few can exceed the quality, design, and excellence of this one-off build.

All chrome on this build was done to concours level standards, making it a perfect show piece. So superb is this build that the hood retains its factory stock appearance, something that’s difficult to do with an engine that’s pushing 600 horsepower. A horizontal grill, side vents, and rocker moldings all add a touch of class. All of this dazzle is neatly wrapped up in a beautiful silver finish with a deep reflective glow. This Corvette rides on chrome wheels with 255/40/ZR18 Nitto INVO tires up front 305/30/ZR19s at the rear.
Power for this Corvette comes from a supercharged 6.2 liter LSA performance engine built by SMC Performance. Performance and quality go hand-in-hand, as the engine compartment is perfectly clean with nothing out of place. The sound from its custom pipes, equipped with Borla mufflers, exits through a beautifully crafted center exhaust port at the rear. A Tremec TR6060 six-speed manual transmission handles the power and a Currie Positraction nine-inch axle puts the power to the pavement. Steering is precise, thanks to Flaming River’s power rack and pinion system. Suspension is handled by the modern C7 that makes this Corvette handle like a new car, and stopping is quick and sure with power brakes on all four wheels.
The quality, fit, and finish of this Corvette is truly spectacular, but it all comes together with the interior. The dashboard retains its analog look, but is equipped with Dakota retro digital gauges. Both windows and vent windows are power operated and the seats are also power equipped. Beautiful black leather with silver highlights and blue stitching are nicely set off by custom blue interior lighting that is an incredible sight at night. The door panels are fully customized and the air-conditioning vents and bezels carry an integrated retro look for a smooth and balanced design. The interior is also equipped with a hideaway seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system complete with Bluetooth, AM/FM, and on-screen iPhone and Android integration. The technology curve doesn’t stop there, as this Corvette is even equipped with a backup camera, parking sensors, and an integrated radar/laser detection and notification system.
