CHASSIS NO: LP27B72360856
• Comprehensively restored and very attractive throughout
• Original ’67 Dart GT convertible with buckets and console
• Upgraded with 1971-vintage high-performance 340 V-8 engine
• Quality, detailed restoration and limited miles since completion

340 cid small-block V-8 engine, single four-barrel carburetor, Torqueflite three-speed automatic transmission, independent front suspension with torsion bars and coil springs, live rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs, four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes; wheelbase: 111”

Following the 1963-1966 models, the compact A-body Dodge Dart truly hit its stride with a complete redesign for 1967 featuring crisp and clean bodylines similar to those of the larger B-body Coronet and a slightly larger appearance while measuring half an inch shorter than the prior design. A full-width concave grille and distinctive rear panel with bold taillights at each side enhanced the new Dart’s appealing design. Both 170- and 225-cid ‘Slant Six’ engines and Chrysler’s excellent small-block V-8 engines were available. Trim levels ranged from the basic Dart Series in four-door and two-door Sedan forms to the mid-range Dart 270 including all Dart features plus carpeting, a Deluxe two-spoke steering wheel with full horn ring, and vinyl interior trim. The Dart GT was the top series for 1967, adding a padded instrument panel, wheel covers, bucket seats, and special emblems plus chrome rocker panel trim.

Befitting its sporty name, the Dart GT series included two-door Hardtop Coupe and Convertible body styles, with some 38,200 built in all for ’67 with no factory-published breakouts by body style available in reference sources. Relatively few survive today, especially Dart GT convertibles. This original 1967 Dart GT Convertible is the product of a very nice restoration with proper storage and only some 6,000 miles travelled from completion. Built on June 12, 1967, it retains original Bright Yellow over black colors and rolled off the assembly line with a 225-cid six-cylinder engine, Torqueflite automatic transmission, bucket seats, and a floor console and shifter, plus factory air-conditioning.

A 1971-vintage 340 high-performance V-8 now occupies the engine bay and looks, runs, and sounds great. The rear end has been fitted with performance gears, unlocking the performance of the 340/Torqueflite powertrain. The grille now appears to be a 1968/69 unit. Underneath the well-fitted power convertible top is found well-fitted factory-type upholstery and a well-preserved center console maintaining a nice patina of originality. Paintwork is very nice. The undercarriage is solid, the trunk is nicely finished, and equipped with a roadside jack only. The ductwork for the factory air-conditioning remains; however, the underhood parts required are no longer present. According to the consignor, the horn, factory AM radio, and reverse lights do not work, and a driveline vibration should be addressed; however, these items should not be difficult to rectify on this nicely restored and rare 1967 Dart GT Convertible, offered without reserve.
